APRIL 2nd, 2026 CORRECTION!
Make sure the water is boiling hot! Too many people are trying to use hot water from your sink! That’s not hot enough. Make sure you boil the water to melt the thermoplastic and get the best fit!
Fangs Not Fitting? Here's The Fix!

Got fangs that won’t stay put? No worries—this happens to about 1 in 10 people! It’s usually because your teeth don’t have enough shape for the mold to snap on tight. The easy fix: pick up a small bottle of denture adhesive powder (make sure it’s powder, not the pink cream that can stain your fangs).
Make your mold as usual, then dust the inside of your fangs with the powder before popping them in. They’ll hold strong all night with a mild, minty taste. When it’s time to take them out, just wash off any leftover powder. Problem solved—enjoy your fangs!
One small bottle of denture powder will last you a lifetime. You really only need a dusting! So please don’t overdo it. We will have a video with Scott explaining the best ways to use the denture powder in the next couple weeks.
The Gold Standard of Fitting
Achieving a professional-grade transformation shouldn’t be a mystery. At FX Fangs, we provide more than just the industry’s best dental prosthetics; we provide the knowledge to master them. Our Fangs 101 series is designed to take you from a novice to a pro in under 20 minutes. Whether you are fitting the 13mm Subtle caps or the aggressive 18mm Classics, these tutorials ensure a seamless, “born-this-way” look that stays secure through any performance.
CRITICAL UPDATE: The Temperature Factor To achieve a perfect mold, the temperature is everything. Do not rely on hot water from your sink—it will not reach the necessary thermal threshold to activate the thermoplastic beads. Pro Tip: You must use boiling hot water. The beads must turn completely clear before they are ready to mold. If they are still white or opaque, they will not create the permanent “snap-fit” impression required for a secure hold.

A: About 1 in 10 users may have a tooth shape that doesn’t naturally “lock” the mold. If you’ve followed the boiling water steps and still feel a loose fit, there is a simple professional fix: Denture Adhesive Powder. The Fix: Dust the inside of your custom-fitted fangs with a tiny amount of denture powder (like Super Poli Grip Powder) before popping them in. Avoid the pink creams as they can stain the fangs. A single dusting provides a rock-solid, all-night hold.
A: Absolutely. One of the greatest advantages of the Gothika® thermoplastic system is that it is reversible. If you aren’t happy with your initial mold, simply drop the fangs back into boiling water until the material turns clear again, and restart the process.
A: To remove your fangs, gently push up on your lower lip or use your finger to apply light downward pressure on the top edge of the fang. They should “snap” off cleanly. Never pull aggressively or use metal tools.
